Envision OC invites YOU to join the My OC Video Challenge! We want to hear why YOU live here and see OC through your eyes. Orange County is an ecosystem of 34 cities, a thriving hot spot for innovation and self-expression. From booming career opportunities to culture, food and experiences, there are endless reasons around why people choose to live and work here. Simply send us a 60 second (or less) video compilation showing off the city you live in, tell us what you love the most about it, why you chose to live here and don't forget to mention where you work and what you do professionally. Bonus points for creativity! Also, we'll need 2-4 photos of you, both in your work environment and out in your city, and one short paragraph describing your city and why you have chosen to live here. One grand prize winner, selected by EnvisionOC, will receive a top-quality merchandise bundle valued at $25,000!

"This Is SoCal" is a new communications campaign launched by The Alliance for SoCal Innovation, a not for profit formed in 2017 bringing together the heft of Southern California's top research institutions, local business leaders, and world-class advisors to focus on bridging critical gaps in the SoCal innovation ecosystem. The campaign's goal is to clearly articulate what makes SoCal innovation so unique and present the region's innovation ecosystem to the world, and engage people throughout the region to participate. The SoCal Innovation Brand Steering Committee included the CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County (CLA-OC) and seven other regional partners, led by The Alliance for SoCal Innovation. Collectively, they bound together to drive the branding work and ensure it reflected the diversity of geographies, industries, and innovators in SoCal. The Alliance is looking for your participation in the activation of the This Is SoCal communications campaign to engage and help share its content around the elements that make SoCal innovation so unique and your own story of how you're playing an important part in its ascendance. The Alliance for SoCal Innovation hopes the campaign will become a means of unifying diverse communities, amplify and celebrate regional specializations, attract more investment, startup enterprises and corporations to the region, and raise the region's profile through increased media attention. Learn more about how you can utilize the This Is SoCal marketing toolkit to expand your brand message and benefit from the additional amplification of your brand by being part of the campaign.

As we focus on OC organizations with innovative solutions to complex social challenges making a difference in our community, this issue recognizes The Salvation Army's unique Homeless Throughput System (HTS). Developed here in Orange County, the HTS has become such a proven model that it is being used now in major cities and metro areas.
